Chapter 1: Welcome to Episode #102
Greetings to all dedicated readers and passionate writers! In this Episode #102, I want to express my gratitude for your feedback on the previous collections. Though this edition is more compact, it features impactful stories that I believe you will find both enjoyable and insightful.
As I browsed through the latest updates, I was astonished to discover that scammers have even gone so far as to replicate the profile of Medium's notable director, Buster Benson. The lengths they are going to are quite alarming. Our editor, Mike Broadly, DHSc, penned a piece urging the community to remain cautious.
Additionally, our consulting editor, Marcus (also known as Gregory Maidman), lightened the mood with a witty poem about the bizarre phenomenon of cloning, reminding us that while it’s amusing, it’s also a serious issue. Personally, I’ve been cloned twice, leading to a nightmare in one instance and a strange celebration over my clone’s demise.
Last week, I put together a compilation of boosted stories, featuring 21 new highlights that you might enjoy. I plan to create another collection tomorrow, as even more stories have been boosted. Today, I found myself quite occupied with both work and family obligations.
For those interested in the boosting process for your stories, Dr. Yildiz’s attached article is a must-read.
Many gamers have reached out on Discord and Slack, asking how the boosting works for ILLUMINATION-Gaming. To address these inquiries, I made a brief video on YouTube, which is included in a story along with transcripts for those unable to watch the video. I hope this clarifies the basics of boosting for everyone.
Recently, I also penned an article outlining my predictions for the 2024 Academy Awards and a follow-up piece discussing the winners. I eagerly anticipate your feedback!
As we navigate the important issue of account suspensions, our chief editor, Dr. Yildiz, has composed a narrative about it. I encourage you to share your thoughts, as he expresses sympathy for the victims while also addressing the challenges faced by Medium.
I came across a touching account from Dr. Yildiz about Lanu Pitan, one of our editors and devoted readers whose account faced suspension. We published an editorial bulletin regarding the suspension issue just a few days ago.
Mike also approached the topic from a different perspective, providing updates for our new readers.
Section 1.1: Interviews with Notable Writers
In recent updates, Mike has introduced some of my favorite writers, including:
- Matt Lillywhite
- Genius Turner
- Shirley Willett
- Dr. David Mokotoff, MD (Retired Cardiologist)
You can access his previous interviews in this collection.
Section 1.2: Curated Collections and Updates
ILLUMINATION-Curators have compiled all the stories that received boosts in February. We are proud of our efforts, which went into creating this collection. You can find the “Collection of Boosted Stories from ILLUMINATION Publications — V5” here.
I’ve also included 13 new boosted stories and linked to older ones to enrich our exceptional narratives, primarily published on ILLUMINATION-Curated. Here’s the link for interested readers and writers.
Dr. Mehmet Yildiz shared an update regarding Technology Hits publications, highlighting some stories published in February.
As a boost nominator, after featuring Dr. Joan Naidorf's boosted stories, I also spotlighted the remarkable works of Jozsef Kovacs as part of my initiative to enhance distribution chances for our writers. I trust that readers will enjoy these compelling narratives, and aspiring writers like me can learn from them.
Our newsletter is out! It was shared by Dr. Yildiz's tech account on Medium and is also available on Substack now. Please circulate it on your social platforms. These newsletters provide monthly updates on our progress and answer many questions, especially for new writers.
For those who might have missed Dr. Yildiz's heartfelt open letter inviting non-members to join as members, I highly recommend engaging with and sharing it. I hope his story reaches a wider audience to help attract more readers, as our views have significantly declined.
As I mentioned before, every interaction and share can enhance our collective visibility. Please do not underestimate the impact of your engagement with these stories. The objective of my collections is to boost reading time and interaction for these pieces. So, please select a few that pique your interest and support these writers.
Section 2: Engaging with the Community
You can check out Mike’s captivating collections as both an avid reader and a proud contributor to our writers' earnings.
- Mike's Favorite Stories on ILLUMINATION Publications — #39
- I Read 100+ Boosted Stories and Here's What I Learned
Another diligent editor, The Sturg, has started curated collections. Be sure to check out his outstanding selections in “The Sturg's Illumination Editorial Picks: First Edition.” I will share his second edition in the upcoming episodes.
I recently updated a piece aimed at encouraging writers to share their bios, as our readers have been asking for more personal stories like those in this collection. I look forward to reading and promoting your writer biographies.
ILLUMINATION-Curators have created a new collection for our Reading Club, filled with engaging stories. I hope many more passionate readers will consider upgrading their subscriptions. There are solid reasons for avid readers, like myself, to take the plunge.
I Took the Plunge and Became a Friend of Medium (FoM) Yesterday.
In a recent interview, Dr. Yildiz discussed how Friends of Medium can share links on our tailored social media platforms. I’ve tried them, and sharing these stories took only 10 minutes. I hope this brings many new readers to Medium, as we all need to attract more attention to make this platform thrive.
Our editors and curators have also elaborated on how we promote non-boosted stories, which comprise over 99% of what we feature. I play a significant role in creating visibility for these narratives. Thank you all for the support that keeps me motivated on this incredible journey.
During breaks, I’ve penned a few short stories that take about three minutes to read, focusing on technology and gaming to keep my writing skills sharp. I hope you enjoy them:
- Different Types of Wolves Are Finally Coming to Minecraft
- 'Crackgate' Is Here With Apple Vision Pro's Seemingly Cracking Out of Nowhere
- Default Female Skins Might Be Coming to Counter-Strike, Thanks to Open Letter From Pros
- IBM Is Using AI to Protect Your SSD
Daily List for Sharing — Volume 102
I've volunteered to compile a list of this collection for easier sharing on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Quora. You can find all our sharing platforms through this link shared by Dr. Yildiz.
Please note that this collection reflects both my personal enjoyment and nominations from volunteer editors (who are also writers and readers) on this platform. As a publication, ILLUMINATION maintains a neutral stance on all published stories, recognizing that it’s impossible to feature over a million works, but we will strive to amplify as many exceptional stories as possible daily, based on volunteer availability.
Here are today's wonderful nominated stories! I'm confident you will find something that meets your reading preferences.
- New Generation Neuroscientists Asserts that the Brain Isn't Triune But Adaptive by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz
- The Striking Adverse Effects of Night Light Exposure on Mental Health by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz
- Does Physical Activity Lead to Varicose Veins? by Bruno Soriano MD PhD
- Here's How I Improved My VO2max After My 60s with Persistence and Guidance by Mike Broadly, DHSc
- Gaming, Fun, and Humor: The Lifelines That Rescued Me From Social Media's Grip on My Life by Aiden (Illumination Gaming)
