As we approach the end of the first quarter of 2024, it’s hard to believe that a quarter of the year has already passed. Time flies!

Last year, I encountered the concept of the 12-week planner, which I delve into further in the article linked below. This method encourages us to treat three-month spans as if they were an entire year, making it easier to achieve our objectives.

Monk Mode: A Transformative Experience

This year marked my first attempt at organizing my schedule by quarters, and it has proven to be incredibly beneficial. It has kept my goals front and center, pushing me to continually seek improvement throughout 2023.

In the previous quarter (January to March), I embraced "monk mode," allowing me to accomplish significant milestones. Now that we’re in Q2, I aim to relax a bit more, enjoy the spring and summer, and prioritize time spent outdoors with friends.

How can you set yourself up for success in Q2?

Section 1.1: The Power of Organization

In Quarter 2, I’m focusing on planning my activities. This includes scheduling specific projects, vacations, and time for hosting friends.

By preparing in advance, I can concentrate fully on my tasks rather than feeling overwhelmed by indecision.

Creating a calendar is a fantastic tool. I suggest designing a visual calendar that outlines your month, including workdays, time off, appointments, and social events.

As Quarter 1 comes to a close, I take time to reflect on my experiences and consider what I could improve. Self-improvement doesn’t mean being harsh on myself; rather, it’s about being compassionate, just as I would be with others.

  • What were your feelings during each month of the quarter? What influenced them?

After reflecting, it’s crucial to set new goals for the upcoming quarter or reassess existing ones. This is especially true for me.

Back in December 2023, I set a goal to earn at least €500 online by March 31, but as of March 26, I hadn’t even reached €100. Therefore, in Q2, I need to establish a more realistic earning target based on my capabilities while still pushing myself.

Section 2.1: Lifestyle Choices

As I mentioned, this quarter, I plan to take things a bit easier, travel more, and avoid being in work mode all the time. I achieved my primary goal in Q1: to establish a solid routine that supports both my projects and my mental health.

The Importance of a Healthy Routine

Visualize how you want your life to look and feel over the next three months. I find creating vision boards incredibly motivating; they help clarify my aspirations.

In Q1, my focus was on:

  • Establishing discipline and routine
  • Engaging in deep work
  • Self-discovery
  • Obtaining my driver’s license
  • Healing mentally and physically
  • Reducing social media use and social engagements

In Q2, my aims include:

  • Reconnecting with friends
  • Enjoying spontaneous outings
  • Continuing my recovery journey
  • Going on solo outings, such as swimming
  • Maintaining my work momentum
  • Contemplating a return to my personal Instagram account
