Chapter 1: Introduction to Masterclass Creation

Recently, I launched a three-part series aimed at assisting aspiring authors in drafting and publishing their books. I realized this format could easily be transformed into a concise course or masterclass, so I decided to take on the challenge. In this piece, I’ll guide you through the process I used to create my masterclass in just 24 hours.

Chapter 2: Steps to Create Your Masterclass

The method I employed mirrors my usual approach to writing books, but we’ll expedite the process. Here’s a quick rundown of the steps:

1. Gather your three articles into a word processor document.
2. Draft a welcome message along with a call-to-action for your conclusion.
3. Utilize the RGR Method for document editing.
4. Design a simple cover image for your course in Canva Pro.
5. Create visuals for your Gumroad store.
6. Have ChatGPT generate your product description for Gumroad.
7. Record brief videos and upload them to YouTube (keeping them unlisted).
8. Compile an index of the video links for easy access with the course material.
9. Upload everything to Gumroad.
10. Launch the product.

It sounds straightforward—and it is! Your videos don’t need to be overly polished; they just need to be clear, with a decent backdrop and good sound quality. Gumroad also offers a clean layout for your sales page.

Now, let’s break down the time commitment:

• Three hours to compile and edit the content for the workbook.
• One hour to create images using Canva Pro.
• Two hours to film, edit, and upload the videos.
• One hour to set everything up on Gumroad.

In total, that’s just seven hours to complete the entire process, especially since I utilized pre-existing content that was already beneficial to writers and authors.
