Written on

Chapter 1: The Concept of Freedom

In the previous installment, we began our exploration of freedom through the perspective of the eagle. This concluding part of our two-part series delves deeper into this theme.

Freedom: Lessons from the Eagle

What insights can we gain from the majestic eagle?

One might ponder the fate of the second eagle. If you’ve asked this question, you’re on the right track. The third eagle, as we last noted, is mingling with chickens, content to dwell in mediocrity. True eagles, as apex predators, feast on various mammals and birds, often capturing their prey on their own. Being at the top of the food chain means you’re not destined to be someone else's meal, particularly not a lowly chicken. Instead, you relish in the knowledge that chickens make for a delightful dinner. Furthermore, eagles understand their value; they would never settle for the scraps that chickens consume.

This second eagle recognizes his distinction. Each morning, he gazes into the mirror and sees his larger, stronger beak; he notes his impressive stature, bold feet, and wings designed for greatness. He perceives these traits, yet struggles to comprehend their significance in the grander scheme of his identity as an eagle.

How can this eagle start to grasp the bigger picture? What circumstances would enable him to realize that his current existence, surrounded by chickens and scavenging from the ground, is beneath him? What will it take for him to understand that he can soar to far-off places and that the sky is literally his limit? The answer lies in a simple phrase: HE CAN’T!

Sadly, this eagle is trapped in a mindset shaped by his upbringing among chickens, thinking and acting like them. His chicken mentality confines him to a chicken’s fate, despite his true nature as an eagle. When one descends so deeply into such a mindset, they may reach a point of no return—a state of apostasy where the eagle’s mentality seems lost, leaving only a physical resemblance to his kind.

UNLESS

Yet, there is a glimmer of hope. If this eagle encounters a person—a good Samaritan—who can awaken him to his true identity, he may yet find a path to liberation. This ally could be a friend, a family member, a self-help author, a motivational speaker, or even a stranger. Their influence may not come through direct interaction; perhaps it’s a book that inspires him, a video he stumbles upon, or an audio message that resonates with him on a good day. The method of connection is less significant than the profound impact this person will have on his life.

Currently, our eagle has lost his way, merely existing as a shadow of his former self. To reclaim his identity, he needs someone to guide him, to show him that the reflection he sees is not a chicken, but an eagle. This guide must help him understand why his beak is different, his feet larger, and his wings broader and stronger. Only by rediscovering his true potential can he begin to stretch his wings and explore the vast wonders of the sky.

Reflecting on Your Journey

It’s time for self-reflection. What if you are Mr. Eagle? Inside you lies an untapped giant, a wealth of potential waiting to be unleashed. You possess everything necessary to reach great heights, with one caveat: you may not yet fully understand who you are or the potential you hold.

Fortunately, there are abundant resources available to help you uncover your potential and propel you towards greatness. The world is filled with an array of knowledge—books, speeches, videos, articles, and scientific research. Allow these good Samaritans to illuminate your path and guide you to self-discovery.

Start by exploring these resources and absorbing the wisdom they offer.

Welcome to your first step.

Chapter 3: Religious Perspectives

Why do we believe our religion is superior? A comparison of Christianity and African traditional religions.

The first video, "Randall Bramblett - 'Do You Want To Be Free' [Audio Only] - YouTube," reflects on the quest for freedom and self-actualization, encouraging viewers to examine their own lives.

The second video, "Disclosure x Zedd - You've Got To Let Go If You Want To Be Free - YouTube," emphasizes the importance of releasing limitations and embracing one's true self for the sake of personal freedom.
