Your Creative Expression is Important

Chapter 1: The Power of Sharing Your Art
This morning, I found myself scrolling through Facebook without much purpose, a common occurrence during a supposedly productive morning.
Amid the usual family snapshots and engagement announcements, I stumbled upon a post from an old friend. It was a video of him performing devotional kirtan music with his band. Surprisingly, the video had only nine likes.
Out of sheer curiosity, I clicked on it. The moment the music began, I felt an incredible sense of relaxation wash over me, and my heart opened wide. I became attuned to my body, the present moment, my suppressed emotions, and a profound sense of gratitude all at once.
As I listened to the entire track with my hand resting on my heart, I let the energy flow through me. Before immersing myself in his music, I had been feeling frustrated and low. Afterward, I was filled with a sense of freedom and optimism. This man's music transformed not just my morning, but the trajectory of my entire day—and perhaps even my life!
What truly astonishes me is that he could have easily chosen not to share that video. He might have noticed the low engagement and removed it. Yet, he opted to express himself openly and authentically. He disregarded societal metrics like "popularity" and embraced vulnerability.
If you are someone yearning to share your creativity, I urge you to do so! Your art is significant.
No one else in the world can produce the unique expressions you can, and no one else can heal others in the specific way you are meant to. It’s easy to feel that our voices get drowned out in a sea of noise, but let me reassure you: this is simply not the case.
Just as everyone possesses a distinct fingerprint, your self-expression is entirely unique, and we genuinely need it! Never forget how special you are.
And, as always…
Keep inspiring,
Nicole
