Many people have a love-hate relationship with mornings, often tempted by the snooze button. Are you one of those who struggle to rise, preferring to stay nestled in bed as long as possible?
Unfortunately, this habit can lead to a cycle of resistance and challenges throughout the day. When we allow ourselves to be passive, life can feel like a garment tumbling endlessly in a dryer—spinning aimlessly without direction.
This is your opportunity to break that cycle.
Begin your transformation by crafting a more intentional morning routine. The cornerstone of an effective morning is creating space for activities that nourish your mind and body. This means you’ll need to wake up earlier—there’s simply no getting around that.
The good news? Adjusting your wake-up time can quickly become a habit. In fact, our natural sleep cycles often make it easier to rise earlier. For instance, my alarm is set for 5:45 AM, and I usually wake up just moments before it rings, hardly needing the alarm at all.
Ideally, you should aim to go to bed early enough to wake naturally when your body feels rested. Personally, I find that about six hours of sleep suffices for me.

Here’s a list of morning practices I highly recommend incorporating into your daily routine:
- Rise Early: Aim to wake before 6 AM, ideally without an alarm.
- Make Your Bed: This simple act instills a sense of order and sets a positive tone for the day.
- Cold Shower: Embrace discomfort to start the day with a challenge; it's invigorating and beneficial for your health.
- Hydrate: Drink a glass of water and take vitamins (especially B and D) to boost your immune system.
- Brew Coffee: Essential for those early mornings, coffee can help kickstart your day.
- Skip Breakfast: Embrace intermittent fasting—it’s healthier than many believe and aids in weight management.
- Meditate: This is crucial for mindfulness and self-understanding; focus on being present and aware.
- Journal: Write down your thoughts and feelings; it’s liberating and helps clarify your mind.
- Read: Commit to learning something new daily—whether books, articles, or short content.
- Exercise: Prioritize your physical health with at least 20 minutes of calisthenics to maintain energy and vitality.
Incorporate these practices each morning, and in just six months, you’ll find yourself in a vastly improved place—among the elite!
